 flowers + fire

september 13 - 15 2019

Flowers + Fire, held at Gatherwild Ranch in Germantown, NY, will be a deep exploration of our relationship with nature. We will build community throughout the weekend with like-minded women by cooking together, sharing our stories, and learning about the plants and flowers that sustain and delight and surround us.

The intention of this weekend retreat is to ground and set intention as we say goodbye to summer and move into the fall. We will come together for two and a half days to practice mindfulness and yoga, to connect with nature through workshops and free roaming time, and to cook together using ingredients from local farms. We will also learn about the herbs growing on the land and how to use them to ground and heal.

 the space

Gatherwild Ranch is a 15-acre property in Germantown, NY. Originally an apple orchard, it is home to groves of trees, herbs and flowers, and six unique shelters that blend the essence of camping with luxurious comfort. Here, we will meditate and practice yoga in the beautiful yoga room, have campfires (complete with s’mores, of course), and cook together in the outdoor kitchen.

We hope you’ll feel the immediate sense of home in nature here that we did when we first set foot on the property.

You will meet and greet plants that help the liver function smoothly, plants that help ease seasonal allergies, and plants that can reduce your stress levels, among many others. At the end of the workshop we will make and share a series of fresh picked teas. Each participant can choose their own tea-bouquet to take away from the workshop.
